Center for HIV/AIDS and STD research (CHISTRE)

Centre for HIV/AIDS & STD Research (CHISTRE)) is a non-profit organization working for community development through the active participation of community members. CHISTRE was founded by a group of community volunteers in 2000. It was registered on 15th March 2000 under the corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.

CHISTRE visualizes organized and empowered communities out of poverty, gender discrimination, social injustice, Community health and having all basic facilities of living

MISSION

CHISTRE Mission is to bring a multi–sectoral and pro-poor program for serving the communities through a gender balanced approach, by organizing the communities into community institutions and building their capacities in various sectors with the support of donors and self-help to bring sustainable community Health and development.
