Friends of the Inyo

Sobre Nós

On the eastern edge of California, there exists a vast and wild landscape where bighorn sheep roam across alpine ridges, golden trout brighten tumbling streams and the Milky Way outshines city lights. Millions of people each year enjoy this land where the desert meets the mountains, touching all who experience its quiet, beauty and power. Since nearly 95 percent of this land is owned by the American people, we have both the opportunity and responsibility to ensure the Eastern Sierra remains wild and free for future generations of people and wildlife. Friends of the Inyo cares for this unique national treasure by connecting people to the wonders of the Eastern Sierra's public lands through preservation, exploration and stewardship.
