Frontline Women's Fund

Frontline Women's Fund champions women’s equality worldwide by empowering transformative change through frontline women’s rights organizations. Our mission is to bridge the gap between grassroots groups and the resources they need to drive systemic change.

Since our founding in 2011, we have raised over $13 million to frontline women’s rights groups from around the world, regranting at least 90% of the funds we raise directly to our grantees as flexible, unrestricted support. In a world where only 1% of gender-equality funding is allocated to women’s rights organizations, and even less reaches frontline women’s groups, this support is critical to enabling trusted women leaders within their communities to be resourced to navigate the most urgent global challenges.

Through five thematic funds, we strategically invest in long-term partnerships with our grantees to provide crucial financial resources, connections to policy discussions and decision-making fora, and media advocacy to activists working tirelessly to end violence, discrimination, and injustice. FWF’s vision is a world where grassroots women leaders are fully resourced, heard, and able to shape the policies and systems that affect their lives. By trusting local expertise and strengthening collective advocacy, we help build lasting, community-led solutions that advance dignity, safety, and equality for women and girls worldwide.
