50/50 Bookstore

Our mission at 50/50 is three-fold: to empower the community through partnerships and access to quality books, promote literacy, and reduce book waste.

50/50 is a pay-what-you-can bookstore with a heart for the community.

This means that all who want a book can have a book, regardless of whether they can afford it or not. Each person that walks through our doors is welcomed with a smile, treated with respect, and they are free to roam our shelves without judgement or discrimination.

We exist to extend love and treat everyone with the same dignity and compassion.

Everything we do - from the organizations we partner with to the books that are on our shelves - is driven by a conscious effort to wear our hearts on our sleeves and make the most of our resources in empowering our community.

50/50 is more than a bookstore.

One of the ways we show love for our community is through continuous support and generosity. Each month, we partner with different organizations doing good in our community and donate 50% of our proceeds to help fund their programs.
