UDYAMA primarily aims towards strengthening and building capacities of local communities with a view to enhancing adaptation to vulnerability and changing the culture of dependency to a culture of self-reliance through a network based initiatives keeping in view local empowerment and regional development priorities. UDYAMA attempts consistently to stem the rot and build back the societal networks that can rejuvenate the resource base.
