At Cat Connections NYC, our mission is to create a bridge between cats in need and the loving homes they deserve. We find foster homes and adopters for cats seeking safety and stability. We also carry out periodic trapping and rescue efforts, focusing on targeted spay/neuter to reduce overpopulation, and we provide essential veterinary care for injured or vulnerable cats before placing them for adoption. Through our fundraising efforts, we sustain this work and ensure that every cat has the chance to heal, thrive, and find a forever home.

Cat Connections NYC is more than a rescue - we are a family built on compassion, dedication, and the belief that every cat deserves a chance at a better life. What started as a small effort to help cats in need has grown into a bridge connecting vulnerable cats to loving homes, healing care, and brighter futures.

Our Board of Directors first met while volunteering at the same rescue. Through countless late nights, shared rescues, and the bonds we formed over a common purpose, we realized we were meant to create something of our own - a rescue shaped by teamwork, heart, and the vision of building lasting connections for cats and the people who love them.

Today, we carry out targeted trapping and rescue efforts to perform spay/neuter and prevent overpopulation. We cover vital veterinary care for injured or at-risk cats, and we work to find fosters and permanent adopters who will cherish them for life.

But we can’t do this alone. To truly carry out our mission, we need volunteers who share our heart - people willing to lend their time, their skills, and their compassion to help change the lives of cats across New York City. Whether it’s fostering, transporting, fundraising, or simply spreading the word, every contribution brings us closer to saving another life.
