Palisades Emergency Residence Corporation

Palisades Emergency Residence Corporation (PERC) exists to defeat the cycle of poverty, understanding that food and shelter are fundamental human rights. PERC believes that with help, there is hope. We believe that every person deserves dignity, respect and opportunity.

PERC achieves our mission by providing emergency shelter for men, women and families, permanent housing for chronically homeless individuals, a soup kitchen and food pantry, support services and more.

PERC was founded in Hudson County, NJ, in 1981.

In 2013, PERC merged with Garden State Episcopal CDC, a 501(c)(3) organization with the goal of creating healthy neighborhoods through various community development initiatives like affordable housing construction, social services, supportive housing and outreach to the homeless community.
