To empower marginalized children by creating a home and family at the Rift Valley Children’s Village and to break the cycle of poverty for vulnerable families in the Oldeani Ward. We achieve this through an interconnected approach encompassing education, healthcare, job training and economic opportunities to create brighter futures for the community we serve.
The Tanzanian Children's Fund (TCF) works to eliminate generational poverty in rural northern Tanzania by ensuring that the children and families in this region have access to all of the care and services they need to lead healthy, secure, and fulfilling lives. Our work falls into 4 key program areas: Education, Health, Home and Family, and Economic Opportunity. We partner with government schools to ensure all children have access to a quality education, we operate a health clinic that provides free and accessible healthcare for all members of our community, we run a children's home for orphaned and marginalized children in our community, and we provide micro-loans and business training to entrepreneurs and small business owners in our community to create a path out of poverty.
