Football for Forests Non-profit Kft

We were set up by Planet League and Climate Focus. Planet League uses the power of football to mobilise fans to live greener and Climate Focus are experts in tropical forest protection and restoration with over 20 years experience working in the Colombian Amazon. We want to create a worldwide initiative, reaching football fans the world over, to help in the vitally important restoration of the world's forest. We got funding from the German Government's GIZ and launched our beta app summer 2023. However, after a year of experience we have realised that our app still needs a bunch of work (user research, testing, rethinking, redesign etc) to make it fly. We believe that the underlying idea is strong but our execution has not hit the mark. So we are reaching out for volunteer experts in app development, UX and UI, user-centred design, and community building, to help us get this right.

We have already begun restoration of an area the size of 56 football pitches and are working with a cool local charity in Colombia, Tiempo de Juego which works with underprivileged kids and helps them find their way through football. The challenge is enormous and we have to scale up drastically - but that will only happen when the users' experience is top notch.
