Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. Led by Artistic Director Hope Muir, the company’s professional dancers annually present six performance series in Charlotte during a season spanning from October to April. The organization also operates a dance school, Charlotte Ballet Academy, which trains 900 students annually, and has nationally recognized educational and community programs.
