Our Mission At Swan Food Pantry, we believe that no neighbor should have to choose between a meal and a necessity. As a primary outreach ministry of First Baptist Church Swan, our mission is to eradicate both physical and spiritual hunger in the East Texas community by providing nutritious food, essential resources, and a path toward restoration.

Who We Serve We are a lifeline for over 1,000 households across the Swan, Lindale, and Tyler areas. Our doors are open to everyone—from families facing temporary setbacks to seniors on fixed incomes and individuals looking for a fresh start. We serve a diverse community where 1 in 4 children and 1 in 6 adults in East Texas are food insecure. Our goal is to ensure that every person who visits us leaves with more than just a box of food; they leave with their head held high.

Our Core Values: The "Pillars of the Pantry"

• Service with Dignity: We don’t just "give away" food; we provide a drive through experience that respects the individual. From the quality of the produce provided by our partners like Brookshire’s to the friendly greeting at the drive through, dignity is our standard.
• Community Stewardship: We are proud to be lean and efficient. With nearly 75% of our budget dedicated directly to food procurement, utilities, and distribution, our donors can rest assured that their contributions are making a direct, tangible impact.
• Collaborative Impact: We believe we are better together. Our mission is fueled by the generosity of "Pillars of the Pantry" like Chick-fil-A, Little Caesars, and Whataburger, who ensure our volunteer teams are nourished as they serve.

Our Impact Through our strategic partnership with the East Texas Food Bank and local retailers, we rescued over 130,050 lbs. of food in the last year alone, translating to more than 108,376 meals provided to local families.
