Make it She

Make it She is a non-profit with one goal: bridging the online gender gap.

The challenge: Women are vastly under-represented online. For example, women only represent 30% of people mentioned in online news articles, and on Wikipedia only 18% of biographical pages are of women. This bias in online content affects our perceptions and behaviors, endangering our strides towards gender equality.

The solution: to bridge this online gap, Make it She created a web extension that gives you the ratio of male to female mentions on any web page. Join Make it She this summer to take the initiative to the next level !
