Music Mends Minds
Missão
Music Mends Minds (MMM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates musical support groups for patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injury, stroke. These musical support groups foster a community between the musicians and singers, as well as their families, friends, and caregivers, all of whom thrive on socialization and music-making. MMM also aims to educate our community and public about the latest scientific findings regarding the benefits of music and the brain.
Sobre Nós
We're always looking for guest musicians and singers to make music with our seniors either online or by participating in one of our in person bands or drum circles. Music Mends Minds offers free tri-weekly musical Zoom sessions, which are led by a board-certified music therapist and feature a mix of sing-alongs, solos and guest performers. We meet Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11:30am-12:30pm PT.
MMM is also looking for volunteers that can come up with ideas for fundraising and events (both in-person and virtual).
