Italian Community Services

In 1916, leading members of the San Francisco Italian community established the Italian-American Community Services Agency with a dream: Successful in their own lives, these leaders wanted to help their Italian brethren. Italian-American Community Services Agency works to provide advocacy, and to promote, protect and coordinate housing, medical, nutritional and other social services for seniors and adults with disabilities. In the Italian tradition, the idea of community sustains every one of us, and can offer healing to troubled lives. Presenting people with the possibilities for preserving their self-sufficiency provides the needed rays of light and hope that translate to long-term sustenance.
