The mission of Goodside Grocery & Food Co.op of Sheboygan is to make nutritious, quality, and local goods accessible to the community through the operation of a financially sound, cooperatively run grocery facility in downtown Sheboygan.
Our goals in doing this are:
To provide access to nutritious, quality goods at fair prices, sourcing locally whenever possible — without sacrificing our other goals
To operate the co.op on a sound financial basis for the long-term benefit of members and the community
To operate the co-op in an open, democratic manner so that all members can participate in decision making
To provide services and/or support to other community-focused endeavors when possible/appropriate
To serve as a model for other community-owned businesses in Sheboygan and elsewhere
