The Commonwealth Club of California

The mission of The Commonwealth Club of California is to inform, educate, and provoke debate on significant issues of public policy. Since its founding in 1903, The Club has carried out this mission more broadly and thoroughly than any other public affairs forum in the United States. This mission is achieved through the presentation of public lectures several times each week by experts and public figures. The Club also offers more in-depth study sections on over a dozen areas, including the arts, health and medicine, environment and natural resources, science and technology, and business and economics. It broadcasts one program each week nationwide through a network of 225 public and commercial radio stations with an estimated 500,000 listeners. Programs are frequently broadcast on C- SPAN as well.
