The Centre for Alternative Technology's aim is to inspire, inform and enable society to move towards a sustainable future.

CAT is a living demonstration of sustainable technology in action - renewable energy, environmental building, energy efficiency, organic growing, alternative sewage treatment etc.

We aim to provide positive solutions to today's environmental problems.

We offer information, education, publications (including via mailorder), courses, consultancy, a visitor centre open 7 days a week, and membership.
