The Life Centre works with some of the most vulnerable 12-16 year olds in the community of Dublin 10. They have been excluded or have dropped out of mainstream education, are marginalised, at high risk and have been identified as 'difficult to reach' by many services. We provide education and care in a non-formal homelike environment and tuition in the following subject areas: Cookery, Woodwork, Art & Craft, Literacy & Numeracy, Maths, English, History, Personal Development, IT, Social Personal and Health Education, a community-based afternoon programme and a Summer link-in programme. Many have disabilities, learning or behavioural challenges and/or a specific set of personal/family/social circumstances that have hindered their chances from an early age
