BINKY PATROL OF MINNESOTA

The Binky Patrol is a nation wide non-profit organization that provides comforting covers to children. Volunteers make hand made blankets (Binkies) and we given them to children who have experienced trauma, illness, in foster care, and shelters. These children are newborn to 18 years of age and sometimes older. The Binkies can be quilted, sewn, crocheted, knitted, and fleece tied. The North Star Binky Patrol is a Zimmerman/Twin Cities chapter that was started in February 2002. We have delivered over 150 blankets our first year. Some of the recipients have been to police and fire departments and to children in shelters and foster care settings. We also except donations of fabric, batting, yarn, and monetary donations to help with postage, shipping, and other supplies.
