Change a life, maybe your own, be a HOSPICE VOLUNTEER! Have you ever wanted to be a part of a very unique team that provides an outstretched hand and friendly smile to terminally ill patients, or respite time for their caregivers? Hospice volunteers provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and their loved ones at the critical time in their lives through companionship and caring. No medical training is needed. Free training classes are forming now. Training is easy and fun! We will set the training schedule to meet your needs. Assisting patients and Families- A hospice volunteer can help terminally ill patients in a variety of ways, including listening and conversing with them, reading books, holding a hand or sharing a quiet moment. Volunteers offer caregivers the opportunity time to take a much needed break for errands or personal time.
Areas Served: Volunteers provide patient visitation based on their availability and can choose the service areas closest to their homes. Service areas are: Riverside, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Sun City, Hemet, Perris, Redlands, Yucaipa, Beaumont, San Bernardino, Colton, Fontana, Ontario, Corona.
