The ULB is the French speaking university of the Brussels Capital Region of Belgium, which is officially bilingual (French and Flemish). The EIB (Ecole Interfacultaire des Bioingénieurs) belongs to both the Faculty of Sciences and the Polytechnical School (formerly the Faculty of Applied Sciences) and organises Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Bio-engineering. Bio-engineering is about engineering living matter, from the micro- to the macrolevel. Our social mission is to teach this in a trandisciplinary fashion and to integrate as much as possible the life sciences into the social sciences.
