Tugela Ferry Care and Research Collaboration

The Tugela Ferry Care and Research Collaboration (TF CaRes) is involved with a number of projects related to improving the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS in rural South Africa. TF CaRes is an international collaboration of researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY), Yale University (New Haven, CT), University of KwaZulu-Natal (Durban, South Africa), and Philanjalo (Tugela Ferry, South Africa). The investigators have a strong history of collaborative and productive research activities that have significantly impacted the care and treatment of HIV/AIDS and TB patients in South Africa. The collaboration is currently undertaking multiple funded research projects.
