Justice Resource Institute - Pelham Academy

PELHAM ACADEMY is a leading residential school and treatment center for adolescent girls with mental health issues, behavioral difficulties and complex trauma histories located in the historic town of Lexington, MA.  We focus on the special needs of adolescent girls in a beautiful and home-like environment.  Our team of therapeutically trained staff will provide care uniquely tailored to your child's needs and strengths.  Each student at Pelham Academy is give the opportunity to draw from what makes them special to build competency in safely navigating their youth while developing the skills needed for long-term success.

EDUCATION - Pelham Academy is unique in that all of our students attend school everyday despite histories of school refusal or academic difficulty.  Our students engage in a full academic instruction schedule in our on-site school, five days a week, 216 days a year.  We are a fully accredited school licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and we follow the Massachusetts State Curriculum.

NURSING - Our nursing department provides high quality, compassionate, and individualized medical care.  Nurses offer education and guidance that promote a healthy lifestyle.

CLINICAL - The mission of our clinical department is to foster healing and empowerment through collaboration between the individual, family, and community.  Our licensed Clinicians provide cutting edge therapy while weaving expressive arts, music therapy, animal assisted therapy, and yoga into your child's treatment.  We believe in a strong vocational component to student's growth through therapeutic activity coordination.

OUR STUDENTS - Many youth who have experienced complex trauma or mental health difficulties are left feeling marginalized, alone, and helpless to make change.  Pelham Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional treatment to adolescent girls in order to build skills to manage difficult emotions and to build self esteem.  Our goal is to foster the belief in each student that not only does she deserve a happy and healthy life, but she can achieve one.
