American Heart Association - Lawyers Have Heart

Lawyers Have Heart (LHH) is Washington’s largest 10K race. The annual event was co-founded in 1991 by two local attorneys as a way the Washington legal community could unite annually in support of the American Heart Association, fighting diseases which significantly impact people in their high-stress profession. LHH is now the largest annual philanthropic endeavor supported by our city’s law firms and legal vendors. Since its founding it has expanded beyond the legal community and you don't need to be a lawyer to participate -- all you need is a big heart!

Since its inception, Lawyers Have Heart has raised more than $8 million to benefit the American Heart Association (AHA), whose mission is building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The 2020 Impact Goal of the American Heart Association is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent, while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020. The Lawyers Have Heart 10K race puts this mission goal into action by getting Washingtonians active– running is one of the most heart healthy activities!
