Pro-Truth Pledge

Our mission is to protect liberty through promoting truthfulness and civility in politics.

We plan to accomplish this mission using methods of behavioral science to encourage more truth-seeking behaviors in political representatives and media figures through mobilizing citizens.

The Pro-Truth Pledge (PTP) is a science-based initiative dedicated to fighting misinformation and restoring integrity to public discourse. We bring together volunteers, researchers, and advocates who believe that truth is the foundation of a healthy democracy.

We ask public figures — politicians, journalists, and media personalities — to sign our pledge, committing them to a set of evidence-based behaviors that promote honest communication. We also invite private citizens to sign and hold pledge signers accountable, creating a grassroots accountability network powered by behavioral science research.
