The Population Project
Missão
The goal of The Population Project is to list the full name and date of birth of all humans alive. Strangely enough, in a time when information has never been so plentiful, we don’t know the name of the 7+ billion people with whom we share this planet.
WhyIn a generation or two, most of us will be forgotten. The Population Project will keep a log of who lived when. It will be a resource for historians and genealogists alike.
Sobre Nós
If you think everybody deserves to be remembered, please consider helping us in our titanic enterprise. We need volunteers in absolutely every part of the world to source large lists of humans (e.g. electoral records, exam results, etc.).
Don’t worry, we’ll give you the tools and the training to perform your mission. Just bring your enthusiasm!
Names can be found in the most unexpected places from sports federations to high school graduations to medical societies. You'll see, tracking lists is fun and insanely addictive.
