Refugee Congress

Refugee Congress is a national, nonpartisan organization built and led by refugees/former refugees and asylees/asylum seekers. Our mission is to promote the well-being, integration, and dignity of all refugees, asylees/asylum seekers, and other vulnerable migrants in the U.S. With Delegates in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, we use our voices and experiences to inform and influence decision-makers on critical domestic and international issues that affect our communities.

Working at the local, state, and national levels, Refugee Congress elevates local advocacy and outreach efforts to the national level and creates connections between former refugees, asylum-seekers, and allies working toward common goals across the country.

Refugee Congress regularly collaborates with refugee resettlement agencies, nonprofit organizations, public and private sector organizations, local businesses, and grassroots organizers across the nation on common goals and interests.

Refugee Congress is a newly registered 501(c)3 organization and is currently fiscally sponsored by Church World Service.
