SoundMind Project

We believe that technological innovations can be leveraged to tackle the most complex of human diseases. By using a toolkit of western medicine, digital media, music, ethnobotany, and meditation we aim to make a significant impact on neurologic diseases worldwide.

Our target population includes patients with neurologic diseases and the healthcare workers who serve them. Our headquarters is in Providence RI and our activities occur in many countries throughout the world including the USA, Brazil, Bangladesh, India, Jamaica, and Bhutan.

Past activities have included the creation of digital animations for patient education (Providence RI), video projects examining the stigma of epilepsy in developing countries (Jamaica), comics in Portuguese for stroke prevention and diabetes education (Fall River, MA), and a mobile app to collect data from physicians re medication shortages in neurology (global).
