Hospice Inspiris is searching for reliable, compassionate volunteers to visit with patients in Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia, Delaware and Bucks counties.

Hospice Inspiris is committed to delivering comprehensive hospice services with integrity and compassion. We embrace a holistic personalized approach, caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. We currently service patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and in their personal home in the following counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester.

We are recruiting s to work with terminally ill patient and their families. As a volunteer, opportunities include: companionship, massage, reiki, reflexology, music therapy, pet therapy and much more...

Companionship volunteers: These volunteers provide companionship to the patient, respite to the caregiver and are welcomed as a part of the hospice team. The most important gift the volunteer bestows is just to be there to listen, sharing quiet moments of contemplation or offering a gentle touch.

Alternative / Complementary volunteers: Trained in massage, reiki, reflexology, pet therapy alternative/ complementary volunteers also offer music and visualization for added growth and comfort. These modalities are offered to both patients and families, as well as to facility staff for relaxation and personal growth.

Administrative volunteers: These volunteers provide help to the staff by assisting with typing, addressing cards, organizing newsletters, packets, manual and performing other varied clerical duties.

Bereavement volunteers: These volunteers offer support to families and friends of deceased patients. During the grieving process the bereavement volunteer is an invaluable resource for family members and friends, especially those who lack a solid support network.

All volunteer receive extensive training focused on learning the philosophy of hospice care and understanding the responsibilities and duties of care for patients and volunteers receive hospice training under the guidelines of the National Hospice Organization and are matched with patients and families as close to home or work as possible.
