Learning Outside is a nonprofit committed to providing children with outdoor learning experiences that enhance their current lives and learning and that instill in them a love of the natural world and a lifelong commitment to stewardship. Key to our mission is serving children who do not have ready access to quality outdoor learning experiences.
Founded in 2009 as Irvin Learning Farm, our organization has grown from a small pilot project into a year-round outdoor learning program. In 2011, the organization acquired its own independent nonprofit status as Learning Outside. All of Learning Outside’s programs are sited on Triangle Land Conservancy’s Irvin Nature Preserve.
