Bella Abzug Leadership Institute, Inc.

The Bella Abzug Leadership Institute (BALI) is a 501(c) (3) not for profit leadership and debate training organization founded in 2005 with a mission to inspire young women in NYC’s metropolitan area to become effective, dynamic and visionary 21st century leaders as well as active and creative participants in civic, political, corporate and community life. BALI’s signature programs include summer leadership and debate-training programs, year-round in-school and after-school leadership and debate training programs, a social entrepreneurship program, a mentoring program for our alumnae and one day debate seminars and competitions throughout the academic school year. Our programs provide the skills set and social-emotional learning needed to instill knowledge, confidence and empowerment, qualities which have enabled all our 2,000 plus trainees to date, to excel in their schools, internships, jobs and communities.
