CEDO AmeriCorps*VISTA

The AmeriCorps*VISTA program is dedicated to developing sustainable initiatives that improve the lives of low income residents in communities with high poverty. VISTA members work for a year in non-profit agencies, public schools, libraries and city departments. The CEDO AmeriCorps*VISTA program has been working in the Burlington area since 1993. It was the first VISTA program for the state of Vermont and has served as a national model across the country. A*VISTA members serve as “capacity builders” in non-profit agencies and as grassroots organizers in the community.
