    Sobre Nós

EWB-ATL collaborates with remote, developing communities usually off the radar of larger aid organizations. We make a commitment to each partnering community to understand, design, implement, and maintain low-cost, small-scale, replicable, and sustainable infrastructure projects. It is our primary goal to provide a quality product to our partners while respecting the community’s interests, traditions, history, and culture.

The communities identify a need and apply for project aid through EWB-USA, typically with the assistance of a local non-governmental organization (NGO). Once a program has been established, EWB-ATL volunteers train local community members, NGO staff, and others to monitor, maintain, and take ownership of the projects. Additionally, EWB-ATL focuses on providing basic water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) awareness training, as well as developing managerial, technical, and entrepreneurial skills that community members can apply in the future.
