The Lake School

The Lake School is a nationally recognized, small, private play-based preschool located in the historic and beautiful Lake Merritt neighborhood of Oakland. Our philosophy is to reinforce the child's fundamental need to learn and to play in a joyful and challenging environment. The Lake School was founded on the premise that an organized and enriched environment provides children with a sense of themselves, their own world and their own development.
