Foster Grandparent Program--Yakima and Kittitas Counties

Do you know someone 55 years of age or older who loves helping children? If so, encourage them to help youth in our community and receive many benefits while doing so!

Through the National Foster Grandparent Program, low-income seniors qualify for a $2.65/hour stipend, transportation reimbursement, lunches, and excess liability and car insurance while serving at schools, daycare centers, and various community organizations! Furthermore, senior volunteers build friendships, positively influence the lives of youth, and feel loved. Volunteering can improve one’s physical and mental stamina, and fight off depression.
