Founded in 1969, Centro de la Comunidad is New London’s oldest Latino community-based organization.
It’s mission is to provide services, programs and advocacy that improve the social, political and economic conditions of the Latino community in Southeastern Connecticut, while nurturing and promoting its’ cultural traditions as it builds bridges with other communities.
Centro has 8 different program areas: 1. Adult Education 2. Cultural Awareness 3. Economic Development 4. Social Services 5. Legal Advocacy 6. Youth Programming 7. Family Management 8. Immigrant Rights
