Afya for Africa Organization is a registered Public Benefit Organization (PBO) under the PBO Act, with registration number OP. 218/051/2-487/13525, officially established on March 25, 2024. Our journey began in 2016 in Kisumu City, Kenya, as the Kisumu City Cancer Community-Based Organization, initially dedicated to supporting cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. Over time, our vision expanded to encompass broader social determinants of health, recognizing that issues like gender inequality, education disparities, and climate change are intricately connected to community well-being. Today, Afya for Africa is a dynamic, grassroots-driven NGO working to create sustainable, community-led solutions in Health, Gender Equality, Education, and Climate Change. Our primary focus is on vulnerable populations, especially women, children, and youth, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of health, dignity, and opportunity
