Better Decisions was founded in Nashville over 32 years ago and has stayed true to its mission of connecting women inside prison with the support and skills they need to have more control over their decisions, actions and futures. Better Decisions teaches a five step model for decision making that emphasizes self-awareness, goal setting, creative thinking and accountability. Every woman enrolled in class is paired with a “free world” mentor who visits her for one hour a week for nine weeks, or two months.
