Headway East London is a voluntary organisation dedicated to providing a better quality of life for people with acquired brain injury, their families and carers. Headway East London runs a Headway House - a social environment where people come to regain lost skills, increase their confidence and make new friends.
A brain injury has a huge impact on a person's life, potentially affecting memory, speech, planning skills and behaviour. The strain of these 'hidden' disabilities on family and friends can lead to social isolation. The Headway House is a positive, friendly place where the effects of brain injury are fully understood and people are accepted for who they are.
