The Asylum Project is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to helping LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and disabled Americans facing persecution relocate to safer countries. We build compassionate pathways to sanctuary through support, strategy, and systemic change.

The Asylum Project was created in response to a growing crisis: for too many in the U.S., safety is no longer guaranteed. As systemic rollbacks target LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, reproductive autonomy, and disability protections, we stand in defiance of the idea that survival should be a matter of luck or privilege.
We are a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit working to support those most at riskâespecially queer, trans, BIPOC, and disabled individualsâby building pathways to safer futures abroad. Whether someone needs guidance, strategy, or simply to know they arenât alone, weâre here to walk beside them.
Weâre in the early stages of development, but our resolve is firm. We believe in community over cruelty, solidarity over silence, and building exits when systems become cages. The world is watching. Weâre acting.
