The Forestry and Environmental Conservation Society (FOECONS), is a non-profit, civil society organization founded in 2003 and legalized under country laws in 2004 under the registration number: G39/10/014/5/113/04. Its mission is to engage community dwellers to combat physical and man-made degradation and destruction of economically important environmental and forest genetic resources. FOECONS efforts include scaling up community organic agriculture and agroforestry practices; afforestation and reforestation; reducing unscrupulous tree harvesting and slash-and-burn practices; and educating and engaging local people in environmentally sound agricultural practices. FOECONS is based in Kumba with Head Office at All for God Street Fiango, Meme Division, in the Southwest Region of Cameroon.
