Teaching Work Skills (TWS)

Teaching Work Skills (TWS) is a nonprofit, registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping women affected by domestic and or sexual violence and human trafficking.

Our mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for survivors/thrivers to learn skills that will help them continue on their path of developing self-discovery, self-reliance, and independence.

There are over 100 agencies located in Illinois that help victims move from being victims to becoming survivors. The counseling, help, and services they provide are crucial and necessary steps in a victim’s journey.

TWS is not in the counseling business; we are in the teaching, educating and helping one improve their opportunities for success in life business. We give our students hope and a safe environment to learn basic to advanced skills through several different programs
