The American Red Cross Central Appalachia Region serves 77 counties in Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.

Our mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

We serve our communities through 5 lines of service:

BioMed - blood collection

Disaster Cycle Services - preparing, responding and helping communities recover from disasters

Service to the Armed Forces - serving our military heroes, veterans and their families

Training and Preparedness - teaching life saving courses such as first aid, CPR and AED

International Services - we are the world's largest humanitarian organization
