Who Is My Neighbor?

One of Kentucky's first nonprofits dedicated to guaranteeing a fair immigration process, and preventing the division of U.S. Citizen families that is caused by inequitable immigration laws and procedures. Originally begun as Immigration Support Services (ISS) by 2nd Presbyterian Church of Lexington, ISS received seed grants from Amnesty International and the Federal Bar Association to train lawyers in specialized areas of federal law and file test litigation. ISS seeks to assist immigrants who fall through the cracks of other immigrant organizations, and immigrants with complex issues. To the extent permissible, ISS advocates a moderate immigration policy that embraces America's traditional immigration policy focusing on "sponsorship" by U.S. employers, U.S. families, and unusual or outstanding equities.
