Guiding Values Compassion and Love We connect with people human to human, heart to heart and shoulder to shoulder to see each other through the lens of love. Abundance of Grace We empower people to give out of abundance and center a lifestyle of service with our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Family The single greatest cause of homelessness is the profound, catastrophic loss of family. The family is the original cell of life. When the family is lost, the community steps in. Housing will never solve homelessness, but community will. Home is not a building or collection of buildings, it is a community of people. Restoration and Healing-Everyone deserves dignity. No person is beyond repair. The purpose of our work is to actively create opportunities for the restoration of hope, dignity and healing.

Salt and Light Works, aka Salt + Light, has a mission to cultivate community through dignified homes, jobs, and healing to lift the chronically homeless off the streets of Tulare County.
