Bristol Hospice-Califonia LLC serves individuals in the end stage of life. We focus on comfort, pain management, symptom control, emotional & spiritual care and family support. We are committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect and quality of care. Bristol Hospice relies heavily upon volunteers to assist in providing end of life support to patients and family members. In essence, volunteers are "angels on assignment." The contributions of our volunteers are essential to our program. As a Volunteer Coordinator, I have recognized an increased need for volunteers in our community. We are seeking out Direct Care Volunteers who would work one-on-one with patients by providing them spiritual and emotional support. Volunteers can provide support to patients this can include: visiting, chatting, taking walks, playing music etc. Volunteers can also provide respite and support for family by giving the caregiver family member an opportunity to take a rest or to run out for errand.
