    Sobre Nós

At My Family’s Table, we believe that access to healthy, nourishing food is a basic human right—not a privilege. Founded in the heart of Rogers Park, our organization was created in response to a growing need: too many families and individuals in our community face food insecurity, limited access to fresh ingredients, and a lack of practical food education. We are here to change that.

    Who We Serve

We serve low-income families, unhoused individuals, seniors, and others in Rogers Park and surrounding neighborhoods who are affected by hunger, nutritional disparity, and systemic barriers to food access. Our programs are open to anyone in need, with a focus on dignity, inclusion, and respect for cultural food traditions.

    What We Do

    • We prepare and distribute healthy, culturally diverse meals each week to those experiencing food insecurity.
    • We offer community-based food education, including cooking demonstrations, nutrition workshops, and hands-on learning designed to empower people to take control of their health through food.
    • We host volunteer-driven initiatives and fundraising events to ensure our work remains grassroots, community-led, and sustainable.

    Our Values

    • Dignity: Everyone deserves to eat well, regardless of their circumstances.
    • Equity: We address systemic gaps by centering the voices and needs of those most affected by food insecurity.
    • Community: We believe solutions must come from within the community—and we work in partnership with neighbors, volunteers, and local organizations to build long-term resilience.
    • Education: We don’t just feed people—we equip them with the knowledge and tools to feed themselves and their families in healthier, more sustainable ways.
    • Cultural Respect: Food is personal. We honor the cultural backgrounds and dietary preferences of those we serve.

    Our Vision

We envision a community where everyone—regardless of income, housing status, or background—has access to the food, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive.
