Our mandate is to promote inclusive, sustainable, and grassroots-driven development interventions for marginalised rural communities. Youth inclusion, women’s empowerment, and the well-being of older persons are central to our programming and form a core focus across all the programmes and projects we implement and intend to venture into.
Chitambo Development Foundation (CHDF) is a community-led, nonprofit, non-political, and non-religious organization registered under Zambia’s Companies Act No. 10 of 2017. Operating primarily in the Chitambo and Serenje districts of Central Province, Zambia, CHDF works to empower poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged rural communities to sustainably uplift themselves through asset-building, self-help initiatives, and inclusive development.
Our thematic areas of focus include: Agriculture, Health, Education, Livelihoods and Tourism, Environment, and Natural Resource Management.
