Improve Life International (ILI) is a Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) established in
Liberia on October 9, 2008. It is registered and certificated by the government
of Liberia. It strives to be an organization that is
inclusive to all to avoid discrimination in any form. ILI welcomes all ideas
from many disciplines and encourages gender equity and equality. It believes the element of failure never exist a vibrant mindset for positive change when building
innovation and sustainability through self-initiatives for compulsivity to basic
needs (food, clothing, and shelter).
Organization’s experience in implementing project
As a body, ILI has
not implemented any project on its own or partnership but, as a development
organization it consists of has team
members that have been working for the past six years in
range of projects and task with professional consultancy and supervisory roles including
humanitarian aid work, livelihood security, medical response, and always willing to
work with other organization that is responding to the humanitarian needs of
populations in both emergency & development, protecting and saving the
lives of vulnerable women and children in difficult circumstances.
Currently, ILI is implementing Me & My Community Project in Duan Town Community in Liberia
Tip-off: The Me & My Community project is
designed to improve and promote good governance practices by community
governing body and dwellers through capacity building. The project intends to
address issues that are impeding community growth, unionism, full participation
in events, and trust in the administration by community dwellers within their
precincts. The Project is to create a well define community structure through
which developments are easily verified and channel to reach positive decisions
on behalf of the community, and how to participate in national events, and
investment. The project is to create office setup, train community volunteers
in office management, planning, implementation, and reporting.
