East Boston Community Soup Kitchen

Founded in 2016, the East Boston Community Soup Kitchen (EBCSK) gathers each Tuesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in East Boston. We feed between 110 and 150 meals to our hungry neighbors, providing a continental style breakfast from 9am to 11am, lunch from 12pm to 2pm, and dinner from 5pm to 7pm. Some of our guests are single adults who sleep in the streets or in shelters, some are neighborhood residents who have trouble making ends meet, and still others are simply seeking a sense of community. We even have some hungry teenagers who stop by after school to get a plate of food. We use the Lutheran Church's kitchen, but we rely on committed donors who donate prepared food, serving ware, facilities, and equipment on a regular basis. None of this would be possible without the support and dedication of our donors and volunteers.
